Tottenham skipper Hugo Lloris thinks their first game at their new stadium against Crystal Palace on Wednesday is a good opportunity to kick-start their season.
The France international made a blunder in the 90th minute on Sunday as Spurs lost 2-1 to Liverpool at Anfield.
Only one point separates Mauricio Pochettino’s side in third and Chelsea in sixth and Lloris insists it’s time to step up.
‘There’s a big moment for the club on Wednesday,’ the goalkeeper told the Evening Standard.
‘That’s the moment to get back on the winning way and get the big feeling back because it was a bit unlucky for us yesterday against a title challenger. We showed our quality but it was not enough.
‘It’s one of the best stadiums in England – and maybe in Europe or the world.
‘It’s a very interesting moment for all the Spurs community. Now it’s up to the players to make history inside this club, step-by-step.
Lucas Moura equalised against the Reds after Roberto Firmino had given Jurgen Klopp’s side the lead.
Lloris was encouraged by the performance despite Tottenham having a number of chances to win the game in the second half and ultimately letting the result slip.
