After Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, Kangana Ranaut has received praises galore for not only her acting but her direction too, and therefore, it comes as no surprise that this talented actress has zeroed in on her second project as a director, and it is going to be an action film- epic drama, that’s right! As we all know, Kangana Ranaut made her directorial debut with Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, and after being appreciated for her direction, Kangana has decided to director another film and the script of which has been finalised. Currently, Kangana is shooting for Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s Panga in New Delhi, and talking about her next project, The Queen actress informed DNA, “I’m on the verge of announcing my next directorial venture. It’s an action film — an epic drama. It has taken a lot of my time. Currently, we are putting everything in order, but we have locked the script. We’ll be doing a photoshoot, soon after, which we plan to release the poster, too.”
Just like Manikarnika, Kangana’s next project is based on a real-life story, but the actress says that the film is mounted on a huge budget, but the film is going to be different from the ones that have been made on the big screen. Although Kangana is fascinated by her next project but she knows that although getting the expected budget can be a problem when it comes to women-oriented films but due to the success of Manikarnika, Kangana feels that it will be easier for her to get the expected funds. “There are a lot of great stories to be told and actresses today are bringing a lot of business, too. I’m happy with the way Manikarnika worked for me — as an actor and also as a director. Now is the right time to start work on my second directorial project,” informed Kangana. Before kick-starting the schedule of Panga, Kangana underwent intense training for kabaddi, and knowing Kangana and her love for perfection, we are sure she is going to be seen in a never seen avatar in the sports drama.
On the work front, Kangana was last seen in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and the film performed exceptionally well at the box office, and next, she will be seen in Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s sports drama titled as Panga. Also, Kangana Ranaut has been roped in to play former Tamil Nadu CM and veteran actress Jayalalitha in her biopic. While the film is titled Thalaivi in Tamil and Jaya in Hindi, it is going to be a bilingual film directed by A.L. Vijay, one of the leading film-makers from South.
