Filming of The Voice Australia kicked off with a bang this week.

And according to the show’s host Sonia Kruger, the upcoming eighth season is certainly not one to miss.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the 53-year-old revealed a glimpse of the blind auditions while posing backstage.

The glamazon looked trim and terrific as she stood on the Voice set in an electric blue one-shouldered jumpsuit.

‘And so it begins…,’ she wrote in the caption, before directing her followers to read an interview with 9Honey  in which she reveals more details about this season.

‘How good is it to be back on The Voice, a show that’s loved right across the globe?’  Sonia told the website.

‘We’ve found some of the most incredible artists during the blind auditions and we can’t wait to share all of their voices and stories with you soon,’ she added.

For the new season, Guy Sebastian is replacing DNCE frontman Joe Jonas on the judging panel.

He will join returning coaches Delta Goodrem, Kelly Rowland and Boy George.

The 2019 season marks the first time there have been two Australian judges on the panel since the show’s debut in 2012.

It comes after New Idea reported longtime coach Delta was ‘unhappy’ with Guy’s appointment because he received ‘top billing’ in a promo for the upcoming season.

‘Delta wants top billing as she sees herself as The Voice Australia royalty having been there since day one,’ an insider told the magazine in December.
