He has emerged as this year’s ‘villain’ on Married At First Sight, after displaying a cruel and unsympathetic attitude towards his wife Heidi Latcham, 38.

But it’s not the first time that Mike Gunner has played a ‘bad boy’ on screen.

Footage surfaced on Tuesday of the 43-year-old electrician playing a gun-toting criminal in a low-budget action movie.

The Gold Coast local speaks in a bizarre American accent in a scene shared to the MAFS Funny Instagram account.

He holds a cigarette in one hand and a gun in the other, before telling a terrified young woman: ‘You’re off the hook’.

He then turns to a man wearing an eyepatch and says, ‘That spill just cost you your life!’, before shooting everyone in sight.

It’s unclear what film the scene is from or when the footage was captured.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel Nine for comment.

It comes after Daily Mail Australia revealed last year that MAFS 2018 star Gabrielle Bartlett also starred in low-budget movies.

Gabrielle, 44, has several IMDB credits to her name, including the role of ‘Company Director 2’ in the African-Australian crime drama, Irreversible Choices.

She also played ‘Captain Fiona’ in Cop’s Enemy, which also stars Kwasi Adjei-Nuamah, Aj Nuamah, and John K-ay.

New Idea once claimed that season four star Sean Hollands was a paid actor, however a Nine spokesperson later denied this was the case.
