Transgender trailblazer Laverne Cox easily upstaged all of the other models strutting down the runway for the finale of the 11 Honoré fashion show during New York Fashion Week on Wednesday.
The 46-year-old Daytime Emmy winner dramatically fanned out the chiffon skirt of her red and burgundy Zac Posen ball gown selected by stylist Christina Joy Pacelli.
‘What an incredible honor to close @11honore’s first fashion show with these incredible women who represent the size diversity of the women of America,’ the Glam Masters host gushed on Instagram.
‘Thank you for existing @11honore and for giving me this incredible honor…thank you @zacposen for the gown of LIFE!’
Laverne (born Roderick) twirled and swirled down the catwalk in Gallery I at Spring Studios to Swedish pop star Robyn’s 2018 song Honey.
Hairstylist Bradley Irion coiffed Cox’s brown wavy wig and make-up artist Deja Smith brought out her brows and applied her cat-eye winged liner.
The Drop the Mic champ certainly stole the show as the reguisite ‘bride’ closing the confetti-strewn presentation thanks to her smooth moves and her statuesque 5ft11in figure.
