Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti has been impressed with the form of fellow Frenchman Ousmane Dembele recently.
Dembele endured a difficult debut campaign at the Nou Camp, scoring just four goals last season.
But despite some issues regarding his discipline, the 21-year-old forward has already netted 13 times this season and Umtiti is buoyed by his team-mate’s revival.
Marca quoted Umtiti as saying: ‘He’s a very good player and gives us a lot of quality, he’s f***ing playing right now.’
Umtiti is said to have apologised for his bad language, before adding: ‘He’s a star and is going to help us try to win the league, Champions League and Copa del Rey.’
Dembele scored twice to help Barca overturn a 2-1 deficit against Levante in the last 16 of the Copa del Rey earlier this month.
Barca could do with something similar from him on Wednesday night as they bid to rescue their quarter-final against Sevilla, having lost the first leg 2-0.
But Dembele is likely to miss out with minor ankle injury, while centre back Umtiti is nursing a similar problem of his own.
Giving an update on his own fitness, Umtiti revealed: ‘I feel good and I’m focused on my recovery.
‘I hope to return soon, although only God knows when that will happen.’
