Aisha Tyler will host the 71st Annual DGA Awards next month out of Hollywood, California.
The 48-year-old beauty will take the helm during the show, which will be held at the Ray Dolby Ballroom February 2.
‘I am so thrilled to be hosting an award show in front of directors I admire and respect so deeply, and whom I hope to emulate every day,’ the star of Criminal Minds, Ghost Whisperer and Archer said in an Instagram post.
She added: ‘I’m also super excited to drop a couple f-bombs in front of Spike Lee, then blame it on Adam McKay’s superlative ventriloquism skills. Dreams do come true, people!’
The San Francisco native has vast experience in entertainment, as she’s been involved in successful endeavors acting, writing, podcasting, and directing.
The versatile performer two years ago joined the organization after she directed her first feature film, Axis (which went on to capture the 2017 Newport Beach Film Festival’s Outstanding Achievement in Feature Filmmaking Award). She also has directed two episodes of Criminal Minds over the past two years.
