Channel Ten’s revamped version of Dancing With The Stars debuted on Monday night with two new hosts and a new panel of judges.
And fans have already branded one judge the ‘villain’ of the series, due to his ‘extremely brutal and discouraging’ feedback to the competing celebrities.
Craig Revel Horwood was not only slammed for his ‘nasty, rude and downright insulting’ jabs on Twitter, but was also booed by the live studio audience.
Professional dancer, choreographer and director Craig, 54, is joined on the show’s three-person panel by Sharna Burgess and Tristan MacManus.
He has also been a judge on Strictly Come Dancing in the UK since 2004.
His lowest score on the evening was given to Karl Stefanovic’s ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn, shocking the other judges by raising a paddle with one point.
Craig told the former journalist without hesitation: ‘It was all going well until the skirt came off and you started to dance and there, quite frankly, was the failure.’
‘Why do they have to have a wa**er judge for “ratings”, sh**s me. There is nothing constructive in his comments. To say nothing nice about Cassandra is bloody ridiculous,’ one angered viewer vented on Twitter.
