He donned a giant fur coat while performing during the Super Bowl LIII Halftime Show.

But Big Boi’s sartorial choices were met with ire by PETA, who sent the 44-year-old rapper a letter about his jacket on Monday,

TMZ was the first to report that the animal rights organization had sent the former Outkast member a note telling him they would be sending him a faux fur coat and requesting that he refrain from wearing real fur in the future.

‘Our hearts sank when you took the stage during the Super Bowl in a fur coat,’ began PETA’s letter.

Then added, ‘Can we please convince you to make that your last appearance in a fur coat?’

The animal rights organization went on to suggest that they ‘can help’ the Shutterbug rapper ‘donate any furs [he] has to people in need.’

The group went on to explain where they’ve given furs in the past, which has included homeless shelters and Syrian refugees.

PETA ended the letter, ‘There will soon be a gorgeous faux fur on its way to you that offers a look that kills that no animal had to die for.

‘The animals need you on their team, what do you say?’

According to TMZ, Big is yet to confirm whether his coat was genuine fur, and that PETA is yet to hear back from the artist.
