She has fulfilled her long-held dream of performing on the West End, after shooting to fame on the 2017 series of Love Island.

And Amber Davies revealed her transformation into a stage star as she made her debut in 9 To 5: The Musical at London’s Savoy Theatre on Monday.

The brunette beauty, 22, who plays Judy Bernly in the comedy, was almost unrecognisable as she took to the stage wearing a raven wig, topped off with a jaunty purple hat.

She donned a white blouse, pink floral scarf, amethyst blazer and lavender skirt, paired with matching shoes as she belted out the show’s hits on-stage.

Clearly in her element, Amber showed off her impressive vocals as she celebrated the milestone in her career.

Co-star Brian Conley , 57, who plays the sexist and egotistical supervisor Franklin Hart Jr in the production was seen getting his just desserts as he was hoisted into air wearing a racy latex number and studded jockstrap.

This comes as Amber, who won Love Island in 2017 with then boyfriend Kem Cetinay, said she hoped to ‘prove people wrong’ with her performance.

Speaking to the Evening Standard, she said: ‘I only graduated in 2016, so I’m very fresh out of college. But I am trained and I have every right to be here.

‘I’m waiting and ready to prove people wrong. I know they’re gonna come in with a bit of, ‘Let’s see how Amber from Love Island will sing,’ and I just can’t wait — I want everyone to be pleasantly surprised.’

She also revealed that her and Kem now have a amicable relationship and that he was invited to the opening night.

‘That’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to go through: a break-up in the media. And I wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy.’ She says the pair are friends now — he is invited to the opening night of 9 to 5 — and there are no hard feelings.
